Rough mixes of both songs from this session were uploaded in May 2004 to the “Media” section of Norah’s official website as streaming non-downloadable Flash files. On January 30, 2007 they were taken down as part of the site redesign to commemorate the release of Not Too Late. |

The band members and producer Jay Newland convened at Magic Shop Studios, where Julian had recorded his recently released Good Life, and according to organ player Jon Dryden, 9 songs were recorded including Lefty Frizzell’s “Mom and Dad’s Waltz.” While a studio version of the song remains unreleased, it is worth noting that a below-average quality cellphone recording exists of the band performing the song at a midnight concert on June 29, 2005. In 2004, rough mixes of “I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive” a Fred Rose song and “Love Me” by Elvis Presley—both from this session—were added as streams on the front page of Norah’s official website.
On the Willies’ 2006 self-titled release, “Love Me” from this session was remastered and also included on the record.
